Sparks Circus Fundraiser – Hoopsalotamus – Giant Hoop Christmas Fundraiser
Hey there, Iris here!
Next year I’m off to Thailand to volunteer for Sparks Circus. This is a charity organisation which teaches circus skills to children in deprived communities in Thailand. There aim is promote health and well being through the delivery of circus, clowning and the performing arts. Many of the children arerefugees, migrants, impoverished, disabled or ill. Sparks circus intends to bring play and joy into the
lives of these children.
To support this project I intended to fundraise £400.00, which will go directly towards the charity. My plan is to create, Hoopsalottamus, a mass hula hoop extravaganza. On {insert date, Sunday 25th or 2nd of December), I will be hitting the streets of Bristol, dressed as one of Santa’s happy little elves to spread the love of hula hooping.
In 24 hours I want to get 100 members of the general public to do at least one hula hoop trick. I only intend to be out for 12 hours, which means getting one person involved every 7 minutes. Ill be there with a video camera and signing sheet so we can document the day. This will be great because I will get to talk to people about Sparks Circus and also spread to love of circus.
